Customize your chicken antibody

Norwegian Antibodies requires 1.0 mg of the desired antigen with purity > 98 % for immunization of one set of chickens. The desired antigen may be obtained by you or via a chosen supplier. Norwegian Antibodies also needs information about the PI, molecular size and any special chemical conditions for handling of the antigen (such as low pH, use of special acids, etc.)

Package # 1: Complete IgY from hyperimmune eggs

The package includes production and delivery of 200 ml Complete IgY isolated from hyperimmune eggs laid by chickens immunized with your antigen of choice. The antibody concentration in Complete IgY is 20 mg/ml. The antigen specific antibody fraction of Complete IgY typically ranges from 5-10 % depending on the immunogenicity of the antigen.

Supplied by customer
- 1 mg antigen for immunization (> 98 % purity)

Delivery and Cost
- 200 ml of Complete IgY (20 mg/ml)
- Price on request
- Price will include immunization, purification, preparation and quality analysis

Package # 2: Antigen affinity purified IgY from hyperimmune eggs

In this package, the antibodies will be further purified based on antigen affinity. This process will require 3 mg antigen of > 30 % purity. Yield is typically 35 mg of affinity purified polyclonal chicken IgY antibody. More than 99 % of the antibodies in the antibody product are highly antigen specific.

Supplied by customer
- 1 mg antigen for immunization (> 98 % purity)
- 3 mg of antigen for antigen affinity purification (> 30 % purity)

Delivery and Cost
- Up to 35 mg of antigen affinity purified chicken IgY antibody
- Price on request
- Price will include immunization, two purification steps, preparation and quality analysis
- Price excludes antigen, shipping and tax/VAT

After delivery and evaluation of the first batch, Norwegian Antibodies may continue with immunization and production of the antibody. An additional 0,100 mg of antigen will be required every 4 weeks for the duration of the production period.
Based on extensive experience, the yield from the first batch production will be in the range of 30-35 mg of antigen specific IgY antibody. However, Norwegian Antibodies cannot guarantee a certain outcome or the possibility to affinity purify a new antibody, since biological differences in the immunological response and antigen properties will vary between antigens.

The highly qualified R&D staff at Norwegian Antibodies is ready to assist you in the technical development of your diagnostic product using chicken antibodies.
With decades of experience and our unique purification technologies, Norwegian Antibodies is committed to provide all customers within the diagnostic industry with the highest quality products and services.
